Madhya Pradesh Government announces ‘Roko-Toko’ Campaign

In its fights against combating the COVID-19 pandemic, the State Government of Madhya Pradesh will be launching a campaign named ‘Roko-Toko’ in the upcoming days. The campaign will focus on those who are not wearing masks in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

About the ‘Roko-Toko’ Campaign

Roko-Toko meaning Stop and Campaign will be launched in the state through volunteering by select organizations. As wearing a mask is mandatory in public places across the state, under the campaign, the volunteers will be tasked to provide a mask to those who are not wearing it in public places and further a Rs 20 will also be charged from the person as a cost for the mask.

Under the guidelines of the campaign, it has been informed that in every district across the state, the Collector will be responsible for selecting the organizations for volunteering. The masks under the campaign will be provided to the volunteers or organizations on credit by Urban Local Bodies under the’ Jeevan Shakti Yojana (launched by Madhya Pradesh Government in April 2020 for Urban Women)’.
