Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released the UPPSC PCS application form 2022 online on the official website – uppsc.up.nic.in. The UPPSC PCS notification 2022 has been released along with the UPPSC PCS 2022 exam online application form on the official website of the UPPSC.

How to fill UPPSC PCS 2022 Online Application form?

On-line application for UPPSC PCS 2022 Exam will be completed in three stages

First Stage:

  • On clicking ”Apply”, Candidate Registration will be displayed.
  • Basic Registration form will be displayed on clicking the ‘Candidate Registration’ respective to Examination.
  • After filling the Basic Registration form, the candidates must check all the information filled by them.
  • If any correction / modification is required, click on “Edit” button and ensure the required corrections / modifications.
  • After being fully satisfied with all the informations filled, click on ‘Submit’ button.
  • Thereafter “Print Registration Slip” shall be displayed and Print of Registration Slip must be taken by clicking on Print Registration Slip.

Second Stage:

  • After the completion of the procedure of the first stage, ‘Fee to be deposited [in INR]’ shall be displayed with caption “Click here to proceed for payment”.
  • After clicking the above caption of “Click here to proceed for payment”, home page of State Bank MOPS (Multi Option Payment System) shall be displayed comprising of 03 modes of payment viz-
    • NET BANKING
    • CARD PAYMENTS and
    • OTHER PAYMENT MODES.
  • After depositing the required fee by any one of the above-prescribed modes, “Payment Acknowledgement Receipt (PAR)” shall be displayed along with detail of fee deposition, the print of which must be taken by clicking on “Print Payment Receipt”.

Third stage:

  • On completion of the procedure of the second stage, click on “Proceed for final submission of application form” as a result of which ‘format’ shall be displayed.
  • The candidates are required to enter all the required informations in the format.
  • The photo and signature, duly scanned shall be uploaded also.
  • The candidate should scan his/her photograph and signature in the prescribed size (the size will be mentioned at the specified space in the On-line application).
  • This should also be kept in notice that the photo must be latest passport size.
  • After clicking the ‘Submit’ button, the candidate may take a print of the application to preserve it with them.

Note: At the stage of the UPPSC PCS preliminary examination, the hard copy of the documents including their On-Line application should not be sent to the Commission.

With the UPPSC PCS 2022 notification out, UPPSC aspirants planning to appear in the UPPSC PCS 2022 Exam must know the UPPSC 2022 Syllabus which consists of the UPPSC Prelims 2022 syllabus and UPPSC Mains 2022 syllabus.

UPPSC Prelims General Studies Paper 1

  • Current events of National and International importance: On Current Events of National and International Importance, candidates will be expected to have knowledge about them.
  • Indian History: Ancient, Medieval, Modern.
    • In History emphasis should be on broad understanding of social, economic and political aspects of Indian History.
    • In the Indian National Movement, the candidates are expected to have a synoptic view of the nature and character of the freedom movement, growth of nationalism and attainment of Independence
  • Indian and World Geography- Physical, Social, Economic geography of India and the World.
    • In World Geography only a general understanding of the subject will be expected.
    • Questions on the Geography of India will relate to the Physical, Social & Economic Geography of India.
  • Indian Governance and Polity: It covers details of Indian Polity, Economic and Culture.
    • Questions will test knowledge of country’s political system including Panchayati Raj and Community Development, broad features of Economic policy in India and Indian Cultural Political System, Constitution, Public Policy, Panchayati Raj, Rights issues, etc.
  • Social and Economic Development: Sustainable Development Poverty Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc.

UPPSC PCS Mains 2022 Syllabus of Essay

There will be three sections in the UPPSC 2022 Essay question paper. Candidates need to select one topic from each section, and write an Essay. The word limit of each essay should be around 700 words. The three sections will be divided as follows:

  • Section A: Literature and Culture, Social sphere, Political sphere.
  • Section B: Science, Environment and Technology, Economic Sphere Agriculture, Industry, and Trade.
  • Section C: National and International Events, Natural Calamities, Landslide, Earthquake, Deluge, Drought, etc. National Development programs and projects.

UPPSC PCS Mains 2022 Syllabus of GS Paper 1

History and Culture

  • History of Indian Culture will cover the salient aspects of Art Forms, literature and Architecture from ancient to modern times.
  • Modern Indian history (from A.D.1757 to A.D. 1947): Significant events, personalities and issues, etc.
  • The Freedom Struggle– its various stages and important contributors/contributions from different parts of the country.
  • Post-independence consolidation and reorganization within the country (till 1965A.D.).
  • The history of the world will include events from 18 century to the middle of the 20 century such that as the French revolution of 1789, the industrial revolution, the World Wars, the redraw of national boundaries, Socialism, Nazism, Fascism etc-their forms and effect on the society.
